Precision Paint Correction Specialists in Waterford

Professional Paint Correction in Waterford, WI

Every swirl mark, water spot, and dull patch on your paint is the result of years of exposure, improper washing, and everyday wear. Paint correction is the process of removing those imperfections from the clear coat to reveal the smooth, vibrant finish underneath. At Autoagraphy Luxury Detailing, we are Rupes Certified, and we take a precise, multi-step approach that ensures every vehicle leaving our studio reflects the standard we hold ourselves to.

What Paint Correction Actually Does

Paint correction works on the clear coat layer of your vehicle, not the paint itself. The clear coat is what gives your finish its shine and acts as the first line of defense against environmental damage. Over time, microscopic scratches accumulate in this layer, scattering light and creating the dull, hazy appearance that is so common on older and even newer vehicles that have been washed improperly.

What Paint Correction Can and Cannot Do

Paint correction is highly effective at addressing swirl marks, light to moderate scratches, water spot etching, oxidation, and buffer trails. It is important to understand that deep scratches penetrating through the clear coat layer may not be fully eliminated. During your consultation, we will inspect your paint and give you an honest assessment of what results you can expect.

Paint Correction FAQs

  • How long does paint correction take?

Depending on the level of service and the condition of your paint, paint correction typically takes between four and eight hours. The Pristine package, with its three-stage process, may require additional time. We will provide a clear timeline estimate at the time of your consultation.

  • Will paint correction damage my paint?

When performed by a trained professional using the correct equipment and techniques, paint correction safely removes defects from the clear coat without compromising its integrity. Our Rupes certification reflects the training and skill required to do this safely.

  • How long will the results last?

Paint correction results are permanent for the defects addressed, but new defects can form over time through normal use. Pairing your correction with a ceramic coating application provides an added layer of defense and helps maintain your results longer.

  • Can all scratches be removed?

Not all scratches can be eliminated through correction. Scratches that have penetrated through the clear coat layer and into the paint itself are beyond the scope of polishing. We will inspect your paint and give you a candid assessment before any work begins.
